First I would like to thank all of my new followers. I started blogging in April 2008 to keep family members and friends in the know with my pregnancy and of course see all of the pictures of the baby once she was born. I would only post every once in awhile when I had the time. Recently I got into looking at other peoples blogs and found its really nice to see other moms going through the same thing or get creative ideas for around the house. Thank you all for posting such great blogs for others to read!!
I was sitting here on facebook earlier and reading friends updates and it seems as if everyone other person has a sick kid. It is actually starting to freak me out a little bit. Bailey got her flu shot at her 15 month checkup, but obviously not the swine flu shot becauase they aren't in at our pediatricians office. I keep calling and asking if they know anything about when they are coming in and they still don't after 2 months of waiting. I really want to get the shot but I also hear so much controversy over it too. That is also scaring me a little. People keep saying that it came out so soon, they might not help anyways, and all other excuses. I was wondering what all others are doing about the vaccine??? Are you going to get it for your kiddies or not??
Have a nice and relaxing weekend! Can't wait to hear your opinions!!

I'm torn, our dr's office doesn't have it yet either so I'm kind of at a standstill. My mom keeps asking me, "So, what do you think about the swine flu vaccine?" I can tell she's trying to get me to go get it...but I'm not 100% sure yet what I think. I'm not much help!!
All of my kids are grown up now so
I don't have to worry about them, but
my grand kids that's another story. I'm not sure what their parents are gonna do about them. This is Tee from

My 4-yr old has asthma so his pediatrician recommended getting the shots for both seasonal and H1N1. My daughter is 9 and no other issues so we're skipping it for her. Good luck and nice site!
Hi! I'm visiting from MBC. Great blog.
I just posted about swine too. Thanks for visiting my blog. My pedi said not to vaccinate. But to read up and keep a close eye out for symptoms....
And I have never in the past vaccinated my kids for any of flu seasons and we been blessed up till now.

I also don't know what to do either. I thought for awhile, oh it's just the flu blown out of proportion. But there's a mom in my PTA whose husband caught it and he's been bedridden for a week and a half. I also know a lot of people getting sick (speaking of which I have a scratchy throat right now that I'm not happy about) and they just can't seem to shake it. I'm getting nervous for my family too. But I agree it's too new of a vaccine, so that scares me too. Oh, what to do?
By the way thanks for the follow, I'm now following back.
I'm not getting Amber the flu shot. I actually think that I already got it, and thankfully Amber only got a mild version of it. My hubby had to get the (normal) flu shot and he still ended up catching whatever I got. I'm not anti-shots by any means, but because of the controversy surrounding this one I'm opting not to.
