Nothing new really going on around here except Bailey keeps growing up way to fast. I put her hair in pigtails today and couldn't believe how different she looked! She looked so much older. She needs a haircut so bad but I refuse to cut it because I believe one day it will just fall in the right place instead of her eyes. Until I decide to get it cut she will wear a ponytail! We went the the capital this past weekend and let her run around. I thought we would get lots of good pictures. Well I got a few but all I can get is her running away or looking somewhere else. She will not stay still long enough to get a good picture. At least she is having fun running around everywhere. Here are pictures from the past week or so.

Well in case you didn't know. I started babysitting for a friend of mine. She is a school teacher and just started back today. Lets just say today was very interesting. At first I thought Bailey would be kinda jealous because she has had my individed attention at all times for the past 15 months. Then I thought wow what have I gotten myself into I am going to have to start carrying her everywhere because she will think she's a baby. WRONG!!!! She loves this baby. She didn't care what I was doing with Jackson (the baby obviously). Well as soon as he got here he needed a diaper change...go change the diaper. Did Bailey follow??? NO! She gets in the carseat and relaxes. We get the boppy out for Jackson to sit in. She has to sit in it first. Then she shares it with him. Jackson lays on the floor so does she! She did put his paci in her mouth a few times. (She only gets hers a naptime and bedtime so she was excited) She also tryed to snatch the bottle but only once maybe twice. She wasn't jealous at all. She thought he was one of her babydolls I guess. She stayed by his side and gave hugs and kisses and had to destroy his diaper bag. Why??? Hello shes my child...shes nosy!!! I keep saying this is helping me learn to have 2 children without the sleepless nights. Don't take that the wrong way...no baby #2 anytime soon. Here are a few pictures of today and the past week. By the way Jackson is one of the cutest baby boys ever! Enjoy.
Oh yeah one thing Bailey has learned in the past week is to dip her food in ketchup. I showed her one time and she can do it just like an adult. She loves it and when she has used it all she points towards the bottle and wants more. It is very cute!! Click on pictures below!!!
Here are a few pics of playing around the house. Notice the pictures in the title. She has started doing this with her lip haha! She looks so big in these pictures. If funny because when we took her to her one year checkup she weighed about 21 1/2 lbs. We think she keeps gaining weight because she is so heavy. Well I weighed her the other day and she is down to 19 lbs. She is getting taller and is losing the chubbiness. She eats like there is no tomorrow but doesn't gain any weight! Yesterday we had corn on the cob and I was cutting some off to give to her. Well she kept reaching for my cob and I kept saying NO because I knew she couldnt eat it like that. WRONG! She finished the rest of my corn and loved eating it that way. She thought she was big stuff by eating it that way.
Another big thing she is starting to do is brush her teeth. While we were at the beach she was watching me and so I started brushing hers and she thought it was the funniest thing. So once we got home I got her her own toothbrush and toothpaste. When she gets up in the mornings and we go into the bathroom she reaches up asking for the toothbrush. She does the exact same thing after she takes her bath in the evenings. It just amazes me everyday the things she does and I feel as if she isnt old enough to be doing them.
This weekend we had a birthday party for my cousin Jamie. Both of my moms sisters and their grandchildren came in for the party. It wasn't a big party just a get together for everyone with some cake and presents. Well Jamie is an on the go kid and I hardly saw him the whole time because he was too busy on four wheelers, dirt bikes, or playing with all the kids. Well Bailey had a blast!!!! She met her two cousins (actually second cousins I believe) this weekend. Halee who is I believe 11 and Anna who is 8. Lets just say I wish Bailey had older sisters. She was in love with these two girls. She had to do everything these two did. The best part was the trampoline. She loved jumping on and playing with the girls on there. The first two days we went to visit she was very scared and would stand still and then want off. Well the last day she got the nerve to walk around and hung with the big girls! She played so hard her hair was soaking wet from sweat. I kept asking Halee if she wanted to come live with us, but I dont think she wanted too! haha! Well hopefully we will get to see their other sisters someday when we go to Charlotte! Here are a few pictures from the party. Click on the picture below and it will take you to some of the pictures.
Welcome to The Brouse House. There are lots of things going on daily in our house. I share lots of stories about motherhood and parenting in general. There are some crafts and do it yourself projects that I share. Most importantly there are lots of pictures to go with every story. I hope you enjoy.

Bailey is our very energetic toddler. She always has a smile on her face. She has been the easiest baby and has made parenthood seem like a breeze. She is our life and wouldn't have it any other way.
