Christmas tree and a cold

I am one that very rarely gets a cold or the flu.  I can't even remember the last time I have been sick.  If I feel like I may be coming down with something I take Zicam like its no ones business.  I don't know if the medicine is really that good or I wasn't really going to get sick.  Either way I haven't been sick in a long long time.  Luckily, Bailey has never been sick her whole 18 months of life.

Well things changed on Monday.  We both got sick!!!!!

**Rewind back to the beginning of the week.  Remember these PICTURES????

With that mess...the last thing I needed was to come down with something.  It started out Bailey woke up with a runny nose on Monday.  Then by nap time she had a temperature.  She was so clingy and wanting to be held all the time. Later that day it hit me....I understood why she wanted to be held.  My body ached and all I wanted to do was crawl up in a ball and go to bed.  Not so easy with a toddler running around and a 7 month old that I babysit.  Jason was out of town so I wasn't getting a break from anything.

So my parents came over and put my tree up.  If it was left up to me the box would still be sitting in the living room floor and the boxes of decorations would be on the couch.

My parents AKA my personal assistants for the past few days..Thanks!! They even took my debit card and bought me some groceries because I didn't have any energy and just felt weak.

I watched them put the whole thing together while Bailey helped a little.  I just snapped pictures.

She mostly had to be held by someone because of not feeling well.

This is on top of the hutch.  My mom put together tree limbs from an old tree I think and put lights and berries on it.  The christmas trees are from the dollar store last year.

Inside the hutch.  And YES there is a door missing.  I wish I could say it was painted and getting ready to be put back together.  WRONG!  Its on the back porch and hasn't even been primered yet!

The tree at night time.  If you look real close there are not any bulbs on the bottom half of the tree.  She didn't care about them for the first two days it was up.  I thought to myself wow I didn't even have to tell her not to touch it.  Well she must have not felt the energy to bother with it. Now that she started feeling better she pulled about 4 off and broke one.  So I moved them up.

Sorry to hear you are feeling bad...and then having a sick toddler on top of that...YIKES!

What wonderful parents! Isn't it funny, even when we are grown and out on our own...we still need them. Tell them I said they did a wonderful job decorating and I will be sending them my address to help me do mine....tell them to pencil me in for Saturday around noon...and don't be late!

Oh, I have a 12ft tree...will that be a problem????

:O)
